the little princess

Hello 2012!

Last night I did a shoot that I’ve been planning since last year. My friend Taylor has a little sister, Violet, who was absolutely perfect for my concept. Late last night, I began to build a fort which was much harder than I remembered as a child. After about an hour of sheet architecture I was satisfied, and began to shoot. Violet was truly a princess, she was completely patient with me and was a perfect model. This is the first photo in my newest series, The Little Princess.

Because of her loneliness, Violet acquired a fantastic imagination which captivated her childhood.

 Enjoy!

hi hi hi!

I just recently did a fantastic photo shoot with the lovely Kat Reese. The location couldn’t have been more perfect, and Kat connected perfectly with the concept. I had some help from Taylor Boyer & Jessi Mingroni. The best part about this photo shoot was shopping for ridiculous clothes, including a pair of zebra print leggings.

hello hello hello!

i hope you all thoroughly enjoyed your thanksgiving! i did a shoot today with a friend of mine (an infinitely inspiring graphic designer) taylor dollarhide, chase, and taylor. we shot in downtown denver, taking advantage of every backdrop we could find. my absolute favorite was a parking garage with wonderful eerie light and interesting textures (photos below). taylor brought along his favorite prop, the “E”. many people stared at him as he walked by carrying the gigantic letter. enjoy the photos!

snowed in;

I’ve been overwhelmed lately, and haven’t found time to shoot for my college portfolio. Since I didn’t have school today, I took advantage of my free time and shot. I spent hours and hours editing, until I came up with this. I’m extremely proud of this photo, mainly because it encompasses a lot of emotions that I’ve experienced in the past week. I hope these emotions are translated in my photo, otherwise shooting would be pointless. Let me know what you think!

Here is a before and after from the shoot!

I hope you all have a wonderful thanksgiving!

Laura & James

Hello lovelies,

Yesterday I had the honor of shooting Laura and James, the loveliest  and most photogenic couple I’ve ever met. They asked me to take their engagement photos, so we drove to Loveland, CO to shoot where their wedding will be this summer. Thelocation was absolutely brilliant, and everything turned out perfectly!

If anyone is interested in engagement photos, please contact me at Kelianne@me.com!

Have a wonderful evening!
